1. What shampoo did you use (this is important).
2. Did he shake out before you could get the towel on him?
3. Is he good with hair dryers?

Whats easier to wash, the dog or a child?

Depends on the child. And the dog. And the day. In general, my child is easier to bathe than the dog simply because he goes willingly most of the time.

Well technically it was a shower, so most went down the drain. Also I’m usually pretty quick to draw the shower curtain when he’s about to shake, so it’s not so bad.

Pro-sense. Usually we use Good Sense, but we typically order that on Amazon and he really needed a bath tonight. So we found some stuff at Walmart.
He’ll shake out multiple times during his baths, but he has so much shag that he’s still pretty wet afterwards.
He tolerates hair dryers.

Good doggo.
When I had my Jackie, who looks a lot like yours, I used to take her into the shower stall just off the back hall. We were blessed with a full downstairs bath.
Hair dryers aren’t that useful. They were just fun to try when we were little. Good Jackie for putting up with us.

The towel just doesn’t do enough, the hair dryer takes forever but at least he gets dry enough that he doesn’t get water everywhere. Most of the time my wife bathes him at her work, they have a drying kennel there, but he really hates that.

Best if you can do it is a sunny day; nothing works better. But we always had to keep ours restricted, or they’d go roll on the manure pile or in the garden or something stupid.
